Hadley Random Legacy: Gen 1 Chapter 1

 

Here I am, back with another legacy challenge. This one's a random legacy with the following rolls for Generation 1:

Marital Status: The Shake Up

Number of Children: 5!!!

First Career: Culinary

2nd Career: Criminal - Thief

3rd Career: Vocalist

Generational Goal: Perfect Children!!!

Not an easy set of goals for the first generation by any means, but I am up for the challenge. Without further ado, please meet our founder (on the left) Fern Hadley and her identical twin sister (yes, really) Ivy Hadley. Despite being twins, their personalities couldn't be more opposite. 

Although they still do enjoy sister bonding activities such as pillow fighting in their new shack. Here are their stats!

Fern Hadley, Founder

Here is a better photo of just Fern. She is excited to start a new life with her sister in Sunset Valley. Fern dreams of finding the right sim, settling down and starting a family. Ivy on the other hand is much more chaotic and free-spirited. Will she ever learn to be more down-to-earth like Fern? 

Since I have Generations enabled (or is it Ambitions?), Fern and her sister have to take care of their laundry. Moving to the little shack in the swampy part of Sunset Valley didn't leave them with a lot of simoleons though so they can't afford a dryer just yet. Fern enjoys the fresh scent of air-dried clothes though. 

Speaking of their shack, here it is. I've never played with this Maxis-created house before, but I actually really like it. Once Fern starts her large family, she'll likely have to move, but Ivy can see herself living in a swamp house for the foreseeable future. 

Fern: "Aww, who's a little cutie?"

Fern has been making friends with Leighton Sekemoto who lives right down the street. She admires that Leighton has stepped up to be a single father, and she thinks Sam is adorable. Leighton seems to be interested in her right back. Could Leighton be the one? With that hair, he certainly looks like he moonlights for an emo band (if he is the one, he will have to become a vocalist!)

Fern and Ivy continue to bond with some pillow fighting sessions. Although I haven't really showed it, the sisters are both employed now. Ivy got a job at the criminal warehouse and Fern took an entry-level position at the local diner. She hopes to graduate from cleaning the deep fryer to actually cooking the fries soon. 

Fern met Leighton down at the Summer Festival. Leighton was wearing his hideous work uniform and cap. He's currently a Toddler Sports Coach.

Fern was going to beat Leighton's butt in the hot dog eating contest, or maybe Bella was, but unfortunately he had to run off to his job coaching toddlers. 

Fern: "Does this look like a unicorn? I don't think they are as good at face painting as they say they are."

Fern spent the whole day at the Summer Festival. She flagged down Leighton after he got off work, and they shared a nice hug. They have really great chemistry together. 

Leighton even spontaneously decided to give Fern flowers. 

Leighton: "Flowers for the flower in my life. :)"

The flowers were a hit, and they shared their first kiss right after. :) 

Fern: "You're my favorite person."

Fern asked Leighton and his son Sam to move in, and he said yes. He'll definitely be getting a bit of a makeover soon. Here are Leighton's stats:

With Leighton and Sam moving in, the swamp shack was no longer big enough so the family decided to move to this box (that I quickly threw together). They had just enough money and brought over their old furniture. 

Here's the second floor with the bedrooms and a future nursery for our family-oriented Fern and Leighton. 

And the first floor. It's still not really big enough, but it's all they can afford right now, even with Ivy's criminal career bringing in some extra cash. 

Sam: "Dad, I thought you were going to cut your hair. It isn't 2005 anymore."

Leighton: "Oh yeah."

That's better. Wow, Leighton is actually really handsome underneath that old emo hair of his. Who knew? Leighton kept an edgier look as he has joined the music career path (I forgot I don't actually have Showtime installed right now so I went with Music instead of Vocalist. Close enough). 

These two are very cute and are always flirting with each other. 

Leighton: "I can't wait to have 5 babies with you."

Fern: "No way, me too!" 

Fern: "If we're going to have children, they have to be born in wedlock. Marry me!"

Leighton: "Oh my god, yes!" 

Just two cuties. Nothing to see here.

I'm not sure what is going on here. Maybe the house looks too much like a barn? Anyways, until next time. :)
