Hadley Random Legacy: Gen 1 Chapter 2

Welcome back to the Hadley Random Legacy. Fern and Leighton have begun their journey toward parenthood. Or at least they have been trying. It's not actually going so well just yet. Seriously, I've never met a more infertile pair of sims...

At least they won't be complaining about all the trying they get to do. 

So apparently Leighton is a werewolf. Here he is in his wolfish state. As long as he doesn't scratch up the furniture, I don't think Fern minds. 

Maybe Leighton has increased virility in his werewolf form. It's worth a shot. These two have Woohooed until the cows come home but still no lullabies. With 5 children to make, the lack of lullabies is starting to to worry me. 

Leighton went on the hunt but all he managed to find was a butterfly lol

Finally!!! Fern was on the verge of doing artificial insemination from the medical center (part of a mod and it's not cheap, 1500 simoleons!) Even with the fertility treatment lifetime happiness reward, she was having trouble getting pregnant. I hope the next pregnancies are a lot easier to achieve than this one. 

Fern: "We better actually get married before I give birth, Leighton. I don't want our baby to be born out of wedlock."

Fern is a very traditional sim. 

Ivy doesn't get a lot of screentime, but she's still around, still stealing stuff and getting up to no good. She was starting to feel a little left out in the love department so she created an online dating profile and Stiles McGraw messaged her. They couldn't be more polar opposites but are somehow still cute.

Fern: "I can't wait to meet you, little one. Your dad and I worked so hard to make you!"

That might be a little TMI but it's true. I was almost afraid these two would woohoo themselves to death.

Fern: "Make way, cute pregnant lady coming through!"

Fern: "Oh no...not while the goopy carbonara is on the stove!!!"

And that's what happens when you go into labor while trying to cook dinner. At least no one was hurt. The stupid fire department fined the family 500 simoleons for lying about a fire!!! Leighton was on top of things and quickly extinguished the fire and because of that they get fired for "lying." Nice job, Sunset Valley fire department. Nice job. It's not like they need every simoleon they've got right now for a NEW BABY. 

There was only one baby, and it's a boy. I was really hoping for at least twins since neither Fern nor Leighton are super young anymore. Fern is about to be pregnant non-stop until they get these 5 babies made! Anyway, meet Oliver Hadley.

Traits: Excitable, Light Sleeper (might just make Excitable the trait for Runs in the Family since Fern has it too and so does Sam even though he doesn't count)

Faves: Classical, Porcini Risotto, Lavender

Sign: Aquarius

Leighton is a good dad, no surprises there.

It's time for Sam's birthday! 

Here he is! Nice smirk. He picked up the Equestrian trait, maybe because wild horses are always treating their house like a barn. 

Getting pregnant the second time around was a lot easier thankfully. Fern plans to watch a lot of KidzTube and listen to a lot of kids music in the coming days. She's still got that fertility treatment too, although fat lot of good it did with singleton Oliver. 

Fern: "Sam, are you sure you're not family-oriented too?"

Sam: "I'm a big brother now. I've got to take care of little Ollie."

Sam is on top of things, even before Fern can get to the baby! 

Stiles: "Do you want to start a family too, Ivy?"

Ivy: "Hell no. Just come over here and let's woohoo already."

At some point soon, Ivy plans to move out with Stiles. She doesn't picture herself as the motherly sort however. 

Leighton decided that the house didn't already have enough fires apparently. He nearly killed himself trying to upgrade this stereo for another sim. 

Fern: "Thank God my husband is so brave! I don't even know where we keep the fire extinguisher!" 

Leighton managed to save the house from burning down so Oliver was able to have a birthday the next day. He looks a lot like Leighton, same color hair and eyes I think. 

For twin sisters, Fern and Ivy sure are polar opposites. 

Fern: "Do you think you'll ever settle down one day, Ivy?"

Ivy: "God, I hope not. I love you, Fern, but one of us has got to go out there and live a little before we die."

Fern: "By living a little, do you mean getting caught stealing and thrown in jail? I know that's where you were last night."

Ivy: "It's not my fault that people leave all their valuables in easily accessible locations. They're practically begging me to rob them."

OH BOY.

I complained about Oliver being a singleton so what does Fern go and do? Have TRIPLETS. 

Well, I did say she needed to get a move on with having these five kids already. I should be careful what I wish for. 

Anyway, Fern gave birth to a girl and two boys: Evelyn, Theodore and Henry. I'm writing this post without having their traits and favorites written down so I'll update this post when I get all my stuff organized! I do remember that Henry is Grumpy and Eccentric though because that stood out to me as interesting.

Ivy: "And that's my cue to leave! Triplets? No thanks. I can't believe she's planning on having another baby after this..."

Ivy moved out and even though I didn't do anything, she did manage to end up living with Stiles. :) He has a much nicer house, of course, and is apparently Leighton's boss at work too lol
